2017 Jay-Z Album 4:44 Arrives June 30th on Sprint & TIDAL

2017 Jay-Z Album 4:44 Arrives June 30th on Sprint & TIDAL is a post by Josh Smith from Gotta Be Mobile.

The new Jay-Z Album arrives on June 30th, and if you to listen to it, you will need to subscribe to TIDAL or be a Sprint customer. Sprint and Tidal partnered in early June to deliver a free six-month TIDAL subscription to new and current Sprint customers.

This is an effort by Sprint to attract new customers with access to exclusive music and live stream events. Sprint customers are also eligible to win ticket giveaways and fan experiences. The TIDAL exclusives include Calvin Harris, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj and previously Kanye West.

Starting on June 30th, you can add Jay-Z to that list with the debut of his new 2017 album 4:44 that will arrive on TIDAL, but not on Spotify, Apple Music or other streaming services.

The new Jay-Z album releases at 12:01 AM Eastern Friday, June 30th on TIDAL. This is the only place you can listen to the album. Sprint customers can watch on sprint.TIDAL.com and existing TIDAL members only need to go to TIDAL.com. You can listen to the new Jay-Z album without being a Sprint customer, but only if you have a TIDAL membership that starts at $9.99 a month. There is a free TIDAL trial available for first-time users.

“Today is an exciting day to be a Sprint customer,” said Marcelo Claure, Sprint president and CEO. “JAY-Z is a global icon and we’re giving customers an incredible opportunity to be among the first to experience his new album 4:44. Our loyal, existing customers, and customers who switch to Sprint, can experience the album exclusively, plus access a complimentary six-month trial of TIDAL HiFi, giving them access to content they can’t get anywhere else.”

Sprint customers get free access to TIDAL HiFi for six months, a premium version of the service that uses lossless high fidelity sound quality, a big upgrade from the standard sound quality that comes with the entry level TIDAL service. After that time, TIDAL premium is $9.99 a month and TIDAL HiFi is $19.99 a month.

When is the 2017 Jay-Z Album 4:44 Spotify release date? And what about Apple Music and Google Play? There are no definitive announcements, but we’ve seen exclusives arrive later on streaming services. Kanye West released The Life of Pablo on TIDAL on February 14th and on April 1st releases an updated version of the album on Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play. If a similar release window follows the new Jay-Z album could be streaming on Spotify by the middle of August.

Of course, it could take longer before Jay-Z brings 4:44 to any other service since he still owns a majority of TIDAL and ranted against Apple Music and Spotify on stage, but at the end of the day, it is unlikely every Jay-Z fan will subscribe to TIDAL on top of their preferred streaming service.
