This buying guide will help you make the right choice if you’re looking for the best Android smartphones under $200. Cheap Android phones for those on a budget. These days consumers no longer need to sign a 2-year contract or spend over $800 for a good experience. There are plenty of affordable phones worth buying, and here are a few you should consider.

With expensive phones like the Galaxy Note 9 and Pixel 2 XL heavily advertised sometimes buyers forget about cheaper options. If you haven’t been paying attention you won’t know what’s good or what to buy.

Our list below offers up some of the best Android smartphones you can buy in 2018 that won’t cost an arm and a leg. Good phones for under $200. This is the cheaper side of Android.

Finding a great smartphone is really easy, but finding a good smartphone that’s also cheap, isn’t. There are dozens of cheap budget smartphones with awful screens, poor performance, outdated software and terrible battery life. These are what you want to avoid.

So, our focus here is good Android phones for under $200. Budget phones that aren’t awful, and that user will actually enjoy. Of course, the first company that comes to mind is Motorola and its Moto G series. However, that’s just one of many worth considering.

Not everyone can afford the fancy metal and glass covered Galaxy Note 9 or want to spend top dollar on the best phones. As a result, you’ll end up searching for something cheaper.

In closing, all the phones in our slideshow below cost less than $200. However, they are still great phones you’ll be happy to use. Rather than just dealing with it because it’s all you can afford. We’re expecting some great budget phones later this year too, so stay tuned.

Moto G6 Play

Moto G6 Play

The newer Moto G6 Play arrived in May of 2018 and is hands-down one of the best phones for under $200. In fact, it's only $189. Motorola continues to impress at this price, and its latest phone is no different.

Keep in mind they have a few different versions of the G6, and the Play is the most affordable. It comes with a big 5.7-inch screen with small bezels, similar to the Galaxy S9 or iPhone X. You get a fast 8-core Snapdragon processor 3GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage, a microSD card, and a decent 13 megapixel camera. There's an 8MP front camera, Android 8.0 Oreo, front-facing speaker, and USB Type-C.

This phone doesn't look, feel, or perform like a phone this cheap. It looks far more expensive and feels like it too. Buy it for $200 from Motorola, or a little less online.
