Archos, the French-based handset maker, has unveiled a new smartphone in the Oxygen series in Italian markets, dubbed as Archos 50d Oxygen Plus. It is the successor of the Archos 50d Oxygen handset was launched in March 2016. The device comes with the new addition of features such as Smart Gestures, Turbo Downloads, Infrared sensor and HotKnot. The handset is available for purchase via archos.com and will be major Italian markets from June 2016.
The Archos 50d Oxygen Plus comes with a gorgeous 5-inch Full HD IPS screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, which delivers infinite contrasts and extra deep blacks and 441 PPI of pixel density. Under the hood, it comes powered by MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core processor clocks at 1.3 GHz coupled with ARM Mali-T720 MP3 GPU. It will provide a fluid, fast and incredible performance to the device.
The handset supports dual SIM ( Micro SIM and Mini SiM) and offers 4G LTE, 3G/ WCDMA, GSM, Bluetooth4.0 Smart Ready, A-GPS, FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with preinstalled applications like Gmail, Calendar, Hangouts, Maps, Play Music, Play Movies, Play Books, Video and Files Manager apps.
It has a 16 GB built-in storage which will further expandable via microSD card slot up to 64 GB and 3GB RAM. In the camera department, it sports a 16-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash, which can be recording video up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. Up front, it has an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video chats with your friends. It also includes the camera features such as Touch Focus, Self Timer, Face Detection, Smile Detection, HDR, Face Beauty, Voice Capture and Gesture Shot.
The Archos 50d Oxygen Plus smartphone comes equipped with 2100 mAh battery which will deliver a battery life up to 300 min. It measures 144.4 x 70.8 x 8.2 mm of dimensions and weight around 130 grams. The device will be available in Italian Markets and selected retailer shops only. It is priced at 179.99 euros.
