Sony Xperia XZ Premium coming to US for $799 on June 12
Sony’s presence in the US is quite small, and it’s not because the company can’t compete. Sony has stated that it has “defocused” on the US and other markets, meaning we get the shorter end of the stick.
Despite this, we’re still getting some of Sony’s flagship devices in the US. The company has just announced the availability of the high-end Xperia XZ Premium, which is coming to the US on June 12 for a wild cost of $799.
The device is no slouch. It features a 5.5-inch 4K display, a Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage with a microSD slot, a 19MP camera with 960 FPS slow motion capability, a 13MP front camera, a 3,230mAh battery, IP68 water resistance, and Android 7.1.
One thing it doesn’t come with is a fingerprint sensor. Sony has not been including them in the US market, so buyers of this $800 flagship won’t be getting something now featured on most budget phones. It’s a huge shame, but some people may not care.
Expect this phone to launch on June 12 unlocked at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and more. Hit the source link for more info and let us know if you’re planning to pick one up!
