TCL, the company manufacturing BlackBerry-branded smartphones, has said that it’s launching a full touchscreen smartphone in October. Ahead of that announcement, though, the device may have been captured on camera.
The phone in the picture, which is partially blocked by a blacked out BlackBerry KEYone, is said to be the BlackBerry “Krypton” and has a silver case with a textured back panel and the familiar BlackBerry logo. Unfortunately there isn’t any additional information attached with the picture, so we’ve got very little to go on.
TCL has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will feature IP67-rated water and dust resistance and that the battery will last around 26 hours with mixed usage. That’s a pretty big goal to reach, so it will be interesting to see if this handset can do it.
Are you considering buying a BlackBerry smartphone this year? What about one that features a full touchscreen rather than a physical keyboard?
