After debuting at MWC in February, Sony has confirmed that its new Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact phones are U.S.-bound.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 (above) and Xperia XZ2 Compact (below) will be available for online pre-order at Best Buy from April 13-19, and they'll then be available for purchase from Best Buy on April 20. The two phones will hit Best Buy's retail stores on May 6.

If you'd prefer to buy from a retailer not named Best Buy, you'll be able to get the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact from Amazon and "other participating retailers" starting May 20.

Pricing for the Sony Xperia XZ2 will start at $799.99, while the Xperia XZ2 Compact will start at $649.99.

As a refresher, the Xperia XZ2 is packing a 5.7-inch 2160x1080 screen with HDR and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It's also got front stereo speakers and a Dynamic Vibration System that Sony says "analyzes audio data and lets you feel the action in your hands".

Also included is a 19MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 960fps slow motion video capture, a 5MP front camera, a Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. A microSD slot is available if you need additional storage, and Sony has also thrown in a USB-C port for charging and listening to audio (no 3.5mm jack here), NFC, and a 3,180mAh battery. The whole package is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.
