PUBG Mobile Miramar Update: What You Need to Know is a post by Cory Gunther from Gotta Be Mobile.

Ahead of the Xbox and just a few months after launch, the Miramar map just came to PUBG Mobile. In fact, a huge PUBG Mobile update just arrived with tons of new content. And while the fresh new weapons or vehicles are exciting, that’s not all this latest PUBG Mobile v0.5.0 has to offer.

Miramar has been in the PC version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds since late 2017, although it has yet to come to the Xbox. In a surprise turn of events, it’s available as of May 15th on mobile.

In this post, we’ll go over everything you need to know about the May PUBG Mobile update. Detailing the new Miramar desert map, season 2, secret stashes, and the PUBG Mobile shop. This is the biggest update yet for the mobile battle royale game.

PUBG Mobile Update: What’s New

The games official Twitter account posted a quick tweet that shared key highlights of the update, but even that list isn’t everything you’ll get from PUBG Mobile v0.5.0 starting today. The most notable changes are the Miramar map, the start of season 2, progress missions, the secret stash, local quick teams, and a region system.

And while the most exciting aspect is the new map, I’m more excited about the progress missions. Starting in season 2, progress missions let players complete various challenges to earn rewards, reach new levels, and more. The developers at Tencent even added weekly Activity assignments you can complete to earn even more content. Basically, it’s a way to earn stuff instead of spending real money.

The idea with Missions and assignments is you can earn goodies instead of spending hundreds of dollars on skins like we see in Fortnite.

We also really like the new Local Quick Team feature. This lets players easily join a party of friends sitting next to them, just by using a quick 6-digit code. Making it easier to join multiplayer matches and battle with your buddies. The region system will help with language-based chat channels, too.

PUBG Mobile Shop

That said, some people don’t want to complete missions, or want to spend a few dollars and get stuff right away. If that’s you, check out the new PUBG Mobile shop right now. You’ll find tons of new clothing, special clothing or items to buy for your character, and other add-ons.

Additionally, there’s a “secret stash” in the new shop that’s full of discounted items that will change on occasion. Giving players another option and access to specific items at a lower price.

Other Changes & Game Improvements

As we said earlier, the second season, map, and new shop are the most exciting aspects of this update. However, the developers made a lot of other changes that will improve the game and your experience. You can head over to Reddit for a full list and changelog.

PUBG Mobile v0.5.0 improved spectator mode smoothness, striking and melee combat sounds, parachute camera smoothness, and the parachute speed matches the PC speed in-game. That’s a big one, and something a lot of players continue to complain about.

Since first hitting mobile devices, PUBG Mobile has only grown in popularity. And with Fortnite Mobile only on iOS, Android users are loving everything PUBG has to offer. Get the latest update from the Google Play Store, then use these tips to win more battles.
