Nokia has just announced an entire new series of phones, but the old devices won’t be forgotten. HMD Global, the company behind Nokia phones, has announced that every single Nokia device released under HMD Global will eventually receive the Android P update.
Nokia has been quick with the updates recently, partially thanks to using near-stock Android (which alone is a great reason to buy the devices). But it’s great to see the company commit to keeping the older devices updated to a version of Android that isn’t even out. Even better is that if you have a Nokia 7 Plus, you can already try the Android P Developer Preview.
With Android updates still a big issue and many companies continuously slacking and failing to support older devices, Nokia’s update policy is a fresh air.
