Top 5 most popular Android apps from last week: Kahuna, Wheely World

By | 4th September 2018

Every week we cover new Android apps with Fresh Meat on Wednesday, followed by Android Gaming on Thursday and Top 10 App Updates on Friday. When Monday rolls around, we look back to see which apps were the most appealing to our audience. Read on for the five most popular Android apps from last week. These apps are ones that are most likely new and haven’t appeared in the top five list more than three times.

1. Phone

App info: Improve your calling experience and call control by updating the Phone app for your Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer device. You’ll get Google Duo video calling, spam protection, and caller ID.

2. Tipatch • Backup internal storage

App info: TWRP Data backups do not include Internal Storage, which is the emulated SD card that stores your photos, videos, downloads, and more. This means that in the event you transfer phones or completely wipe data, all of that is gone! Users must resort to error-prone manual backups instead.

3. Kahuna

App info: Aloha Mate! – Kahuna takes you to the paradise islands of the South Pacific! Two priests – the wielders of Kahuna magic – compete to determine which of them has greater powers. With a select group of 12 uninhabited islands, they use their magical powers to build bridges linking those islands to each other.

4. Wheely World

Wheely World

App info: Take the drivers seat in your favorite vehicle and navigate over, under and around the constantly changing scenery. You’ll never have the same run twice! Push yourself to get the high score or climb the challenge ranks! All worlds are free and come with their own unique vehicle to get you started.

5. Bird Identifier

Bird Identifier

App info: Are you looking for a professional bird identifier app? Have you ever asked yourself what bird is this? With Bird Identification, anyone can identify birds like a scientist. By using advanced AI technology, this app will help you identify any bird you see everyday but never know their names. It is also very simple to use. Just take a photo of a bird and Bird Identifier will tell you exactly taxonomy of its species using machine learning technique.

Note:  To ensure that all apps receive a fair chance to make the list, we will retire any app that has made the list for three consecutive weeks and identified with an * after the name.
