If you’re in the market to buy a new Wear OS smartwatch, the Huawei Watch 2 is currently on sale for $190 through Woot. This deal offers a $40 discount compared to the wearable’s list price at other retailers such as Best Buy.
The Huawei Watch 2 is a standard-looking timepiece made out of plastic and offer various fitness-related features. In addition to its heart rate sensor, the watch has a built-in GPS, NFC, and two physical buttons. While one of these buttons is dedicated to launching the app drawer and Google Assistant, the other can be programmed to open any app or shortcut that’s available.
Internally, the Huawei Watch 2 runs off of a Snapdragon 2100 processor and 768MB of RAM. The watch also features a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display, 420 mAh battery, and an IP68 rating. The wearable is also slated to receive the Wear OS redesign as soon as it’s available.
In our review, we gave the Huawei Watch 2 an eight out of 10 thanks to its ability to showcase the new features and capabilities found in Android Wear 2.0. The device’s only true downside was the fact that Huawei decided to focus on fitness instead of offering the same premium elegance found on its first generation smartwatch.
