The decision to restrict certain LG G6 features to specific regions was a bitter pill to swallow. After all, it meant getting a version with all the features was a nigh-on impossible endeavor.
So the LG G6 Plus was a great (albeit overdue) step in the right direction, delivering wireless charging, quad DAC audio, and 128GB of storage in one package. And now, you can get this model on Amazon for $410 as the online retailer’s deal of the day.
The Amazon listing is for the unlocked Prime Exclusive LG G6 Plus, which means it’s only for Amazon Prime members and comes with preinstalled Amazon bloatware.
The Amazon listing asserts that the deal is $390 off the regular $799 price, but third-party price trackers show that the phone had previously been retailing for $480. So you’re still getting a solid $70 off the previous price tag.
What are you actually getting?
LG’s phone wasn’t the most powerful device of 2017, but the Snapdragon 821 is a pretty capable chipset. Toss in 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage and a 3,300mAh battery, and you should have a solid performer nonetheless.
The LG G6 Plus also features a 13MP f/1.8 main camera and a 13MP super wide angle secondary camera. A 5MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
In the design department, the LG flagship was the first major device to offer an 18:9 screen ratio with a high screen/body ratio. It’s a pretty durable phone as well, thanks to IP68 water/dust resistance and MIL-STD 810G certification.
