Lock in iPhone Trade-In Values Now For the Most Cash is a post by Josh Smith from Gotta Be Mobile.

Are you planning to trade-in your iPhone for the new iPhone or upgrade to the Apple Watch 4 this month? If so, you need to lock in the best trade-in values right now. As soon as Apple announces the new models, the price you can get for the old models will drop by at least 20%, possibly more. If you act now, you can lock in a trade-in price without a commitment and then you can decide if you want to do later.

This is something we do every year, and if you are even thinking about upgrading to a new iPhone in September or early October you should take time right now to lock in a price for your current phone. Remember you can’t do this if you already are part of an iPhone upgrade program.

With most of these services you have a long time to send your iPhone in, and that means you don’t need to go without a phone or stress about switching on day one. With each of these options you can ship the iPhone for free.

Lock in your iPhone trade-in value now, and you will score a bigger payoff.

With Gazelle you don’t need to send your iPhone in until October 19th, which is a good deal if you are thinking about waiting for the 6.1-inch iPhone that may arrive a little bit later or if you don’t plan to get up at midnight to pre-order.

While there are a lot of options out there for trading in your iPhone, the number of great options is shrinking every year. Nextworth doesn’t offer as much time to trade in, the Amazon Trade-In program isn’t what it used to be and the eBay Quick Sale option doesn’t work for the latest iPhones yet.

There is no obligation to send your phone to any of these companies if you lock in a price. That means you can do it now and then if you aren’t impressed with the new iPhones, decide to wait for the iPhone SE 2 or the 2019 iPhone you don’t need to do anything.

After you lock your trade-in value in, make sure you keep a close eye on iPhone XS deals that may include huge extras if you trade-in and go straight to your carrier to upgrade and trade-in your old iPhone We’ll have more details on that to share later this week.

Gazelle doesn’t accept Apple Watch trade-ins, but you can use Nextworth or go straight to Apple. Apple offers up to $175, but they only take certain models. If yours is one of them, it’s a good idea to lock in a higher value right now.

5 Reasons to Wait for the 2019 iPhone & 4 Reasons Not To

Wait for Apple Pencil Support

Wait for Apple Pencil Support

At one point it looked like this year's iPhone models would get Apple Pencil support. These days it's looking less likely.

TrendForce claims Apple is bringing Apple Pencil support to the 2018 iPhone. Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News also claims Apple will pair the Apple Pencil with the 5.8-inch iPhone and the iPhone X Plus.

Anything is possible, but respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes it could take longer. Kuo has a very solid track record when it comes to iPhone rumors and we're inclined to believe him at this point.

If that's the case, you might have to wait until 2019, or later, for Apple to bring its stylus solution to the iPhone for the first time.

If you're looking for a top notch phone with a stylus in 2018, you'll want to take a long hard look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 9
