OnePlus 6T vs Galaxy Note 9: What We Know So Far is a post by Cory Gunther from Gotta Be Mobile.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is one of the best phones available right now, but it’s not the only great Android phone. In fact, a new OnePlus 6T is coming soon with plenty to offer. With that in mind, here we’ll go over what we know so far about the OnePlus 6T, then compare it to the Note 9 for potential buyers.

If you’re hunting for your next smartphone the Galaxy Note 9 is a top contender. However, with so many options the $1,000 price tag is hard to swallow. That’s why the OnePlus 6T is such an exciting alternative.

OnePlus 6T leaks reveal a phone with specs and a design many didn’t expect to see until 2019. As a result, Samsung is in for some tough competition. Here we’ll go over the rumored specs, screen sizes, cameras, release date details and pricing for those interested.

Leak that could show the OP6T

There are plenty of excellent Android smartphones available right now. If you can’t wait, grab the Galaxy Note 9 or even the OnePlus 6 today. If you can wait, multiple high-end phones are still coming before the end of 2018.

We’re talking about the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. Not to mention the LG V40, OnePlus 6T, and maybe the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. For many, the most exciting is the OP6T. Plus, for the first time, we’re hearing the OnePlus 6T will be available from a carrier, T-Mobile. Making it finally a phone capable of taking on Samsung or Google.

There’s plenty to like about Samsung’s Note 9, but the OnePlus 6T could potentially have most of that and so much more. Combine that with a lower price tag, and now we’re talking. Which is why we highly recommend potential buyers pay attention to the talking points in our slideshow below.

However, nothing is official until these phones get announced. In the meantime, here’s what we know, how they compare, and what to expect later this fall.

OnePlus 6T vs Note 9: Display

OnePlus 6T vs Note 9: Display

First things first, we want to talk about the giant screens on these two phones. If you're considering the Note 9, the big screen isn't an issue. In fact, you probably want the big screen.

Don't worry, because we're hearing the OnePlus 6T will be nearly the same size, or close. The Galaxy Note 9 has a curved 6.4-inch Quad-HD display with rounded edges. It's big, beautiful, and looks great. There's no notch, but bezels at the top and the bottom.

As for the OnePlus 6T, recent leaks suggest it'll have a TINY notch. Smaller than any other phone, and smaller than the 6. Something we're calling a water-drop notch. Essentially the notch is as small as technically possible to only house the front-facing camera. Sensors, microphones, and the speaker will be in the metal grill above the screen. The OnePlus 6T will end up around 6.3 or 6.4-inches.

So while the OP6T screen might be slightly smaller than the Note 9, it's not by much. Of course, the AMOLED Infinity display on the Galaxy Note 9 will be the better of the two, as they make the best screens. However, the OnePlus 6T will still be more than capable.
