Samsung has been teaming up with AKG for a bit of time now, and the pair of companies have just announced a trio of new wireless headphones that aim to deliver premium sound in a wireless package.
Samsung and AKG have revealed the N700C over-ear headphones, the Y500 on-ear wireless headphones, and the Y100 in-ear wireless headphones. Starting at the top, the N700C (pictured above) offer the most features in one package, including adaptive noise cancelling so that owners can control just how much sound they hear from the outside world while they’re listening to their content.
The announcement says the battery life for the N700C should be pretty stellar, too, at 20 hours on a single charge. The N700C will be available in Silver when it launches “later this year”. When it does arrive, it will be available from Samsung’s and AKG’s websites as well as Amazon.
Moving on to the Y500, these are the new on-ear wireless options. The standout feature here is what Samsung and AKG call Ambient Aware. From the announcement, this sounds like a more streamlined way to control surrounding noise, just by offering to change the acceptance levels with a single tap. These also include the ability to automatically stop or start playing music if you take out the headphones or put them back in.
The Y500 goes on sale today, September 14, and are available in Black, Blue, Green, and Pink. The charging time is two and a half hours for a full charge, and the battery should last up to 33 hours. The Y500 is available from Amazon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Samsung, and AKG.
And finally, the in-ear wireless Y100 headphones. These come in Pink, Green, Blue, and Black. These include the Ambient Aware feature, have a charge time of two hours, and the battery should last up to eight hours on a single charge. These go on sale today as well from Amazon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Samsung, and AKG.
Are any of these headphones now on your radar?
