Google Pixel Slate

Remember the Pixel Slate? Google announced their latest Chromebook during the Pixel 3 event in October, but they never shared an official launch date. We still don’t have a launch date, but the device is up for pre-order from multiple outlets. Pricing starts at $600 and goes all the way up to $1,600.

The Pixel Slate is a tablet that can be used with an optional keyboard stand. The device further signals Google’s plan to push Chrome OS as a tablet operating system. You can pre-order the Pixel Slate from Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, and the Google Store. There are several different configurations to choose from.

  • Intel Celeron/4GB RAM/32GB storage
  • Intel Celeron/8GB RAM/64GB storage
  • 8th Gen Intel Core m3/8GB RAM/64GB storage
  • 8th Gen Intel Core i5/8GB RAM/128GB storage
  • 8th Gen Intel Core i7/16GB RAM/256GB storage

Not all of the outlets offer the same models. The Google Store is the only place offering the Intel Celeron models right now. Best Buy lists the delivery estimate as November 22nd, but Google says November 29-30th. We’ll have to see which one comes true. The keyboard cover is an additional $200 and the stylus is another $100. Are you pre-ordering the Pixel Slate?
